Work ootd

Hi guys,
I have realized that doing an outfit of the day post won't work to well because you guys do not want to see me in my joggie bottoms and hoodie. So I will do an ootd post on days I actually leave my house, which to be honest, in the holidays is not often. However today I had to go to work so this is what I wore today.
I wore a grey jumper dress that is actually an 11/12 yr old dress from 'Kylie' but i still wear it..
Then any black leggings mine are from 'Marks and Spencers.'
I wore a big scarf and I cant remember where I got this from. Sorry!

I am wearing these lovley boots from 'Internacionale'

This is my vintage looking owl ring which i looooooove, i got this from 'Claires'

Thanks so much for reading! See you soon!

Back to it

Hi guys. I haven't posted in about a million years and I thought I better get back to it. I stopped posting because of two reasons.
1- The new school year started and I had a lot of work.
2- I have picked up a major internet obsession!
Today I calculated how long I will usually spend on the internet on a regular school day. And its about 6-7 hours each day.
Now when you think about how long I sleep for and how long I am at school for, that leaves me with one hour more or less to do my homework and speak to my family.
That's bad.
I blame tumblr.
Anyway I thought I better start blogging again.
I am always very excited about autumn and winter starting again because its "sweater weather." I love wearing big jumpers and the hat, scarf, gloves combo again. I love sitting inside my house all snuggled up under a blanket listening to the wind and rain outside. I love getting ready for Halloween and then Christmas!
I just love this time of year.
I thought I would start doing an outfit of the day post everyday so you can see what I'm wearing. I will try to do these everyday but I am a very unreliable, forgetful person so don't take my word for it!
Here is what I wore to school today.

Jumper- New Look
Jeans- Boohoo
Necklace- Accessorize
Shoes- Primark
Braclets- Primark
Thanks so much for reading :)

Shop and steaks

Today I woke up at HALF EIGHT! I had to get up that early because I had to be at work for ten. I worked at my community shop until two. There is only two of us that work on a Saturday. Me and a girl in my brothers year. Tonight we had my auntie and uncle and my two cousins over for a meal. We had steaks and baked potatoes. My cousins are eight and ten year old boys. So now they are playing my Xbox.
For the meal I did my makeup. After I did my usual base. I did a light smokey eye with my fcuk oh so urban palate. I then applied my collection 2000 gel liner with an angle brush. I used a Maybelline mascara. I finally applied a natural collection lipstick in raspberry.

Bit of beauty

Hey!
Today is my dad's birthday. I woke up at eight to get him his breakfast and then later I made him waffles with sausages and bacon for lunch.  Looks like there's an Indian takeaway on the cards tonight!
But today I thought I'd speak about some of my favourite beauty products because I think it would be great fun to be a beauty blogger!

So here it goes.

One of my all time favourite beauty products is my No7 instant radiance foundation.
It is the foundation I use everyday. It's got a medium coverage and says its for tired and stressed skin. It really brightens your complexion and I love it!

Another favourite of mine is my Maybelline New York, the rocket volum' express mascara.
It just glides on with no clumps. I just love it. It does what it says. Lots of volume in a few strokes.

My next favourite is my collection 2000 gel eyeliner.
When you apply this with an angle brush it looks fantastic! It rolls on really smoothly and is so easy to put on and it lasts all day!

My last favourite is the BarryM gelly nail polishes. My favourite colour is the lilac.
They last for sooo long! If you don't pick it off it will last for weeks! They don't chip off and they dry very fast. I highly recommend them.

Okay so that was a few if my beauty favourites. None of them are expensive. They can all be found at Boots or Superdrug. I recommend that you have a try of them!
Please comment below if you want me to do more beauty blogs or if you didn't enjoy this or anything really.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Nice day for a change

So today was actually a really lovely, sunny day. I woke up at ten and had a cup if tea while I watched homes under the hammer with my mum. Which is pretty much routine now. I then slobbed about until about midday when I decided to get washed and dressed and go clean my community hall. I have to clean it once a week whenever I please. I get £60 a month for about two hours work each week so it's pretty good.
I walked there and back since it was so sunny. I got home and was told to cut the grass. My garden is massive so I wasn't to pleased.
After tea I made my dad his birthday cake. (His birthday is tomorrow) while he went rowing. After that I went on tumblr (lucy222333) and then came up to my room to write this. So I suppose it's been a good day! See ya later!

Life at the moment

Okay so I know I've been bad and not done what I said about posting, but not much has been happening so there was nothing to blog about.
It's been absolutely crap weather here in Shetland. The rest of the UK is enjoying a lovely hot summer and we are enjoying the mist..
I did however spend a few days in Edinburgh with my sister a few weeks ago. It was so warm and sunny there . I wish I was there right now.
I bought so much clothes and makeup and I now have shoppers remorse.
I have really just been watching tv shows I have seen a thousand times on box set. My life is very uninteresting.
And on that note I will leave it there.

Friday 5 July 2013

Badly written first post.

So today I have decided to write a blog.
I thought it would be a productive thing to do over my summer holidays.
I live on a small island called Shetland.
If you look at a British map then you will see us in a box.
This is a fence to stop the sheep escaping.
Its not.
Its to show that where we are placed on the map is not our actual position because we are actually much further north but they rest of the UK thinks its okay to just shove us in a box and leave us here to wallow in self pity.

My name is Lucy Simpson I am currently awaiting my 15th birthday on the 31st of august.
I'm sick of being 14. Its such an awkward age.
But i don't want to be 15 just yet because my birthday is right after the holidays end and I don't want to think about going back to that hell.
My school probably inst like your school. Mine only has about 100 pupils. Everyone knows everything about everyone. All the teachers know you and you know all the teachers. If you do something slightly bad or rebellious then everyone will know. Not only that but you would become an article of gossip within your peer group.
But then again I really can't complain.  I have lots of friends and I am generally quite happy.

I work in a community shop.
Its quite a sweet job. Because you know all of the little old ladies that come in and you discuss the weather with them.
Unfortunately I get paid minimum wage.

I have one big brother and one big sister.
We are all very close.
Rebecca is 18 and Jack is 16.
I also have a mam and a dad.
I have two cats called bones and kira.
Bones has bone cancer.
Don't laugh
The irony is unfortunate.

Anyway that is a short insight into my life.
I will be back tomorrow whether or not anyone else will be.
